PSLifestyle Meeting in Slovenia: This is how data can be used to support the sustainable lifestyle

OnSeptember 30, 2024, at the 4th Presidential Forum, Nataša Pirc Musar, PhD, called on all stakeholders to contribute ideas for maintaining the high quality of life in Slovenia. Building on this, the PSLifestyle Project continued with an interactive meeting, featuring partners from Circular Change and the City of Ljubljana.

The PSLifestyle tool has gathered valuable data on how sustainable Slovenians are in housing, mobility, consumption, and food. This data serves as a key resource for decision-makers to prioritize actions that promote a sustainable lifestyle.

Participants from various sectors, including research, academia, business, media, and government, highlighted concrete activities where this data becomes a powerful tool. For example, water usage data can help shape policies for smarter consumption, while second-hand purchase data can guide support for local shops and repair services. Food waste figures offer a basis for campaigns on proper food storage and creative meal preparation.

The meeting fostered lively and constructive dialogue, reinforcing the importance of collaboration. Special thanks to President Musar for her continued support of positive, sustainable lifestyle initiatives.
