PSLifestyle Project's Post-New Year Gift Swap

The Slovenian PSLifestyle Project partners, Circular Change and the City of Ljubljana, organized a special 'swap event' for Christmas gifts on 10th of January 2024.The heartwarming initiative aimed at promoting sustainable practices and community engagement.

Gifts That Keep on Giving

Approximately 80 participants gathered, bringing along gifts they no longer needed. Each person had the opportunity to select a new gift contributed by someone else. This not only added a touch of excitement to the event but also embodied the essence of circularity—where items find new purpose and value.

Tea, Ideas, and Carbon Footprints

Beyond the gift exchange, attendees were invited to enjoy a cup of tea and engage in conversations about circular ideas. The event also featured an interactive session where participants could calculate their carbon footprint using the PSL web app. This added layer of awareness highlighted the environmental impact of individual choices.

Lifestyle Sustainability at Your Fingertips

The PSL web app, available at https://lifestyletest.eu/, proved to be a valuable tool for participants. By offering insights into personal carbon footprints, it empowered individuals to make informed choices about their lifestyle and consumption habits.

Feedback Speaks Louder Than Words

The resounding feedback from participants echoed a desire for more events of this nature. The sense of community, coupled with the practical approach to sustainable living, left a lasting impression. The success of the gift swap affirms the growing interest in initiatives that blend environmental consciousness with community-building.

As we celebrate this successful post-New Year gift swap, the collaboration between Circular Change, and the City of Ljubljana remains committed to fostering sustainable lifestyles and creating opportunities for meaningful connections. Stay tuned for more enriching events that bring joy to both individuals and the planet!
