Circular Innovation Journey Slovenia with Circular Economy Forum Austria

Slovenia is actively working to position the circular economy as a strategic development priority, aiming for a "rapid transformation towards inclusive, prosperous, circular-oriented, and carbon-neutral communities" by 2030. This commitment is reflected in key national documents and strategies, including Slovenia's Vision 2050, Slovenian Development Strategy 2030, Slovenia's Strategy for Smart Specialization, and the overarching Climate Strategy.

In terms of their economic structures, Slovenia and Austria share significant similarities, providing opportunities for synergies in establishing a circular economy. Both countries can leverage their developed infrastructures in the industrial and manufacturing sectors to optimize production, technology transfer, and research. Collaboration can strengthen the growing service sectors, enhancing competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. Trade and the promotion of cross-border Circular Logistics infrastructure also offer substantial potential.

Circular Economy Forum Austria, in collaboration with the Slovenian partner organization Circular Change, is curating a "CIRCULAR ECONOMY JOURNEY Slovenia." This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaborative knowledge building among interested decision-makers in an exclusive small group setting, connecting them with Slovenian proponents from politics, business, and academia as a basis for potential collaborations.
